Key Points
If “OK” (Green) → Run normal outdoor practice with routine hydration and monitoring.
If “Modify” (Yellow) → Shorten or slow down practice, or move part of the session indoors.
If “Cancel” (Red) → Stop outdoor activity completely; conduct practice indoors and follow lightning, heat, or air‑quality guidance.
A simple three-step playbook for each practice
Visit the Practice-Day Status page and confirm today’s OK / Modify / Cancel for your area.
Note which number is driving the status: HI, AQI, Wind-Chill, or Wx (thunderstorms / rain).
Use the guidance below to change length, intensity, location, or equipment.
OK
A green OK status means that, based on current heat, air quality, cold, and weather conditions, normal outdoor practice is generally reasonable with routine hydration, safety checks, and ongoing monitoring.
Learn MoreModify
A yellow Modify status means at least one factor (heat, air quality, cold, or rain) is elevated enough that outdoor practice should change—not necessarily be cancelled. The exact changes depend on the main hazard.
Learn MoreCancel
A red Cancel status means conditions are high-risk based on at least one factor (heat, air quality, cold, or weather hazards). At this level, outdoor practice should be cancelled or moved fully indoors.
